For which, 2023 has been
a very important year till now
One after another, years pass on
Time passes
We read in the news that,
progress is happening
But, where?
Where is the progress?
Where is the changing India?
Now 2023, is about to end
And I have to remind you those things
which made this year special for Bharat
Which made this country better
In different sectors,
What has Bharat achieved this year?
Understanding this is very important to us
Let's have a look at the
top ten achievements of Bharat in 2023

Many things are to be covered
and time is limited
So, let's go
Whenever sports is being discussed,
we only remember about "Cricket"
But, in this video we won't talk about cricket
but, about other sports
Like, "Chess"
This year oue chess prodigy "Pragnananda"
has held our country's head high
This 18 year old boy,
gave a tough competition
to the world's best chess players
and reached the finals
We were hoping that he wins the finals as well
But, tough luck
gifted us our Chakde India moment
By winning FIH cup in Spain
In Asian games which happened in Hangzhou
you must have heard about Neeraj Chopra's gold
But, alongwith that
our performance this year in Asian Games
has been the best performance till now
With 107 medals including 28 gold
And how can we forget our para-athlete
Our para-athletes brought 29 gold medals
And in total 111 medals
Sheetal Devi
became the first Indian woman
winning 2 gold medals
in 1 Asian Games itself
In total, she won 3 medals in Asian Games
She is the world's first para-arhery champion
who has no hands
She uses her legs for archery
This year, she also got the
Best youth athlete of the year award
She proved it, that
we are no less than anyone
Even in special olympics,
India did wonders
Badminton, Archery, Football
India is putting her life in every sport
It is moving ahead,
and we feel proud of that
No. 9 - India's Oscar Win
When we talk about winning,
how can our films stay behind?
Did you know, most number of films
are made in India and not hollywood
This year was very special for
India's filmmaking industry
In 1983 Bhanu Athaiya won
the first Oscar for best costume design
In 1992, indian filmmaker
got awarded by the academy
Then in 2009, for Slumdog Millionaire
A.R.Rehman, Gulzar and
Rasul Pookutty got Oscars to India
But, this year for the first time,
Indian productions won Oscars
For the "Elephant whisperers",
Guneet Monga and Kartiki Gonsalves
And RRR's Naatu Naatu song
won this prestigious Oscar award
Simuktaneously, a documentary named
"All That Breathes"
was also nominated for Oscars
Which makes this year best for Indian films
No. 08 - India Electrified
This year started with a good news 5.9 million tonnes of Lithium was found
in India's Jammu Kashmir region
Lithium is used for making EV batteries
And these reserves can meet
80% of India's demands
Today, India imports petrol and diesel
And India is dependent
on other countries for this
If we talk about EVs or solar panels
Then we are way behind China
In such a situation,
getting so much Lithium reserves
If we can harness this power
Then India can fulfill 80% of its energy needs
For fulfilling our energy needs
we have to be dependent on gulf
countries
or on China
Or we have to burn coal
to generate electricity
which is not good for the environment
Lithium can solve these problems
of course, only if
we can harness this power
No. 07 - World is a family
India has said this multiple times that the world looks at us as a market
And we look at the world as a family
We proved this point
This year in Turkey
there were devastating earthquakes
shockwaves demolished the cities
14 million people got affected
more than 59,000 lost their lives
In such a situation
India launched "Operation Dost"
NDRF and Indian army
helped Turkey in relief operations
With this rescue operation,
India became the first
to send its rescue team to Turkey Alongeith this,
we also sent relief aid to Gaza
India's relation with Turkey is very complicated
Israel - a country which attacked Gaza
is considered India's friend
Still, India moved a helping hand
These things matter on international
level Because where other countries
always remember political differences
India keeps Humanity at the top
No matter, how other countries behave with us
When help is required
Bharat is always ahead
This is what, got highlighted
No. 06 - Defence
This year, Bharat's defence exports
were all time high
at 15,920 crore rupees
That is, 3000 crores more
than the previous year
If we compare it with 2017 defence exports
Then this number is 10 times more
We are exporting
Brahmos missiles
pinaka rockets and launchers
radars and armoured vehicles
to other countries
Throughout the world,
India made Tejas Aircrafts,
and helicopters and growing in demand
This is a proud thing
Simultaneously, we also have to understand
That even after so much
we still are not in the top 10 exporters
But yes, we are
one of the biggest arms importers
We are becoming Atmanirbhar
But, we need to speed up
We need military mordernisation
What challenges does
our armed forces face?
How do they ovecome these challenges,
and keep us safe?
No. 05 - UNLF surrender
This year, Manipur was in news for a sad reason
We tried bringing the story
of our Mainpuri people
in front of you
where we ask some valid questions
to the government as well
But on the other hand,
a good news also came from Manipur
United National Liberation Front
This was an insurgent organisation
which was fighting with Bharat
from past 60 years
and wanted to secede
Manipur from Bharat
But, now they have signed
a peace agreement with Bharat
through which signs of peace
have increased in the North east
Don't get me wrong
all these things are not
to cover up the mistakes
But, to remember something positive
at the end of the year
To have some hope
No. 04 - The fastest growing economy.
most of the world's economies
are not able to recover
In 2023, IMF had predicted
That Germany will grow by 1.8%
America by 2.1%
And France by 2.5%
Even China would grow by 3% only
But, they announced Bharat
as an economic bright spot
They said, Bharat will grow by 7.2%
And it happened
In fact, actual results were
better than the prediction
This year, Bharat has crossed
7.8% growth rate
which is a huge milestone for us
This trend will continue in 2024 too
IMF says, major economies
of the world will grow by 1-2%
Bharat will grow by 6.3%
One of the main reasons is that
many people are using UPI
This year, in the month of October
we crossed 17.40 lakh crores in transactions
If this continues,
then by 2026
we will be able to cross
1 billion transactions per day
NPCI has a target of crossing
100 billion monthly transactions
in coming years
Before going through
the top 3 achievements
let us remind ourselves
to not become overconfident
Everyone of us
Along with the common man,
every leader, every IAS officer
needs to keep their head down and work
So that the next year is even better
We don't have to be mediocre
We have to do something extraordinary
In 2024, if you want to
achieve your goals
As we are already talking about rupee,
Then let's talk about the
Indian rupee going international
No. 03 - Indian Rupee's International Journey
If trade needs to be settled between two countries
then they have to transact in dollars
which increases the demand of dollars
and America's dominance too
Why so?
Bharat asked this question
to the world through BRICS
And Bharat is trying to make
rupee international from past few years
This year, there was a news that
Indians can transact usig UPI in Eiffel tower
Alongwith with that
Bharat and UAE are planning
to do bilateral trade in local currency
We signed an agreement with UAE in July
though which we can
do settlements in rupee
RBI is leading conversations with
60 banks from 18 countries
due to which trade settlements can be done
through a special account in rupee
How a dollar can be used
is completely under control of America's FED
If America decides,
then through sanctions
it can exert its dominance on any country
After the Russia-Ukraine war
the world has been alerted
Hence, Bharat wants to make
So, no other country can pressurise us
No on can interfere in our internal matters
In Bharat's growth story ,
our NRI community is also involved
This year, foreign remittances
increased by 26%
to about 112 billion US dollars
Which means, so much money
came to Bharat from other countries
From past few years,
Bharat tops in receiving foreign remittances
due to which precious forex reserves
come in our treasury
Make our country's economy robust
So, using this excuse
And tell him, dude
at least repay my loan now
No. 02 is our favourite topic, Space.
When Chandrayaan 2's lander
was not able to land in 2019
I was very unhappy
But, that wasn't the end
The show was still not over
And this show's happy ending
happened in 2023
Chandrayaan 3's mission
achieved that in 615 crores only
which many big countries didn't achieve
Soft landing on moon's south pole
Before us, only 3 countries have achieved this.
America, Russia and China
After 25 years, Russia tried it again
with LUNA but they failed
This proves how tough is this mission
Still, we became the 4th country
to land softly on moon
And those international news organisations
who used to laugh at us
even they started appreciating us
After this achievement,
we launched Aditya L1 too
The details of both these missions
But, let's move ahead
In the month of December,
ISRO achieved one more milestone
They placed the
propulsion module of Chandrayaan
from lunar orbit to earth's orbit
they started a bonus mission
They thought, hey some fuel is remaining
Then using this fuel
let's do some more research about earth
ISRO is considered the
most efficient and cost effective
space organisation in the world
And everyday ISRO does something
which makes us more proud
biggest achievement is
G20 success
Last year, when in the month of December
we received G20 presidency
no one expected
that India would handle it so well
G20's presidency is not an achievement
every country gets it by rotation
Before us, it was Indonesia
And after us, Brazil
will be the G20 president
But this year,
Where meetings are usually conducted
only in some big cities
in capital cities
G20 meetings happened in
every state and Union territory of Bharat
That meant, even in
Jammu and Kashmir
In Srinagar, with the TWG meeting
Bharat kept Jammu Kashmir
as a tourism destination
At the same time,
by bringing international delegates here
we proved it that Jammu & Kashmir
is an inseparable part of Bharat
This year, even Supreme court
upheld the decision of
removing Art. 370
And said that
Article 370 was a temporary provision
which was important
to be removed for Bharat
Which means, we are making
the integrity of our borders more strong
Diplomatically and legally too
This year, New Delhi resolution was adopted
India - Middle East - Europe corridor
deal was approved
And Bharat changed G20 forever
by adding African Union to it
Now G20 will become G21
Because, African Union of 1.3 billion population
will now be part of it
This is a big victory for Bharat
Because by including Africa to this group,
we have made it the most important group
G20 meetings could have been better
we made many mistakes
and we have to learn from it
And we also have to understand that
progress happens like this only
progress is imperfect only
progress happens step by step
It is important to understand
that progress happens
Usually we see only those events in the news
which are negative in nature
which highlights our shortcomings
But, at the end of the year,
we also have to focus on those things too
where improvements have happened
